Kudos To All

It has been nearly a week since the dinner party last Friday. Now,let us take a glimpse back to the night of the year.

Still remember the ‘Train’ Reaction game? Someone on stage was ‘victimised’ while you people were down there laughing from inside out. You are just so sick. LOLX!!
Then how about the Let’s Par-tay??? Most were seen grooving with the music, dancing to the beat. 1-2-3-and 4...And remember ‘Fire Burning On The Dance Floor’??You guys were singing (or screaming) your lungs out during the live performance. Ah-uh, don’t you deny that my friends. Oh ya,and the fizzy cocktail served after all the sweat and dance?? *sweet*Cheers everyone!

Oh,what a night we had!!!

The Night Of Glory of course came by with awards for the super seniors. One senior for each faculty was awarded a plaque for their dedication and sacrifices towards building the Chinese community in UMP. Exceptions were made when 2 super seniors from the same faculty had equal votes from the juniors. The votes were considered fair as 95% of the castings came back after distributing to 2nd & 3rd year juniors.

To that,a big thank you to all participants and everyone involved in making the event happen. The team would like to express their appreciation by acknowledging those who had put in much time and effort for the night event.

The night dinner party is getting near, my friends. And everyone is going moo-lah all over the craze, wondering what's hot on the list.

Under popular demand, I shall then spill on some party secrets. Oops.

IT'S SHOWTIME!!!

The night event has 4 sessions. ( There’re just too much activities going on throughout the night, so the team had no choice but to divide them up)

One of the highlights is COCKTAIL HOUR, of which is to gear you guys up for the next session of LET'S PAR-TAY!!! Yea, you heard me, it's a party. So people, let loose and have fun!!! ( ehem, 'unhealthy activities' are prohibited. e.g. smoking)

a. Chain Reaction
b. Pop! Goes The Weasel

Everyone is encouraged to join in and have fun.

On one condition, the team does not guarantee your safety in case you get too 'high' from all those entertainments.

But still, we dare you to join us!

FAQs About Annual Dinner Party 2009

1. Is the dinner party only for seniors?

No. This dinner party is for all JKC members. Which means, as long as you are Chinese, you are invited. The main objective of the annual dinner party is to create better bonding between us Chinese while having fun. Everyone will get to experience Annual Dinner, on a University level. Of course it will be somehow different from those dinners you had usually attended during high school. So this is a good opportunity for you to relate what campus life is all about. Fun, fun, and more fun. However, there will be one session dedicated to the seniors. The theme had spoken for itself, ‘NIGHT OF GLORY’. There will be an award ceremony. This is to appreciate the contribution of the Chinese super seniors had done towards building our Chinese community.

2. I am a super senior. I don’t think I have contributed to the Chinese community. Why should I go?

There is no such thing as you have not benefited the Chinese community. Everyone do. Doesn’t matter big or small, you have done your part. You are very much appreciated. That is why on this night, you should even more so come. Sit back, relax, and enjoy while we do everything to ensure you have the best time around. We want to create a lasting memory for you on campus even after you have graduated. Super seniors, the team wants to acknowledge your existence. What you experience on the night event, is the fruits that you had sowed over the years.

3. What should I wear?

The team had already posted up a few suggestions on what to wear for the night event. Read up the previous post. You don’t have to spend that much to create that million-dollar look. Just be creative. Make use of the clothes you have now, mix and match ‘em. Maybe an accessory or two might do the trick. That is good enough to make you stand out. On one condition, strictly NO T-SHIRTS or SLIPPERS.

4. I think the tickets are too expensive.

RM50 is the usual standard price for formal dinners at 4-star hotel. The food menu is specially chosen for you. And don’t forget all the fun you will be getting throughout the night. Where else would you get fun and food at this price? The team is working extra hard to make your money worth. Satisfaction guaranteed.

5. So far I haven’t received any memo(s) regarding the annual dinner party. Why?

The team sincerely apologizes to you in this matter. When a memo is posted out, the ‘Send to’ had to be done manually, and there are over 10,000 students in UMP, so it could have been a human error when your name or certain faculties had been missed out. You may notify us of this problem by contacting Ong Hang Chuan (017-7207250) or Phoebe Sam ( 017-6056677). By then, the team will ensure that future memo(s) will also be sent to you. For those who had received the memo, please inform your friends who have not received it. Another option is, you can always log on to http://www.jkcump.blogspot.com for updates on the annual dinner party.

6. Where can I buy the dinner tickets?

The team will be stationed at Payung Putih of KK1 & KK3’s café this Monday to Wednesday 8pm-10pm. You and your friends can buy your tickets there. Do register your name, ID and faculty with the committee in charge when you buy the tickets. Tickets are priced at RM50 (for all Chineses) and RM45 (only for final year seniors) per person.

7. Do I need to find a partner to go to the annual dinner party?

No. You do not need a date to go with you. You can go with your gang of friends, or by yourself. You will be able to meet more new friends there, so no worries. The team will make sure that there is interaction going on throughout the night. But if you have someone special, bring them along. The more the merrier.

Feel free to post any comment up on this blog. Or you can chat with the team's committee through the 'Let's Chat' section.
